Humans beings have forgotten what is means to be ‘compassionate’. They have become ruthless, and this ruthlessness continues from generation to generation ( more like a genetic thing ). Who cares for anyone really? Everyone has their own motives and intentions. Everyone wants something out of you at one level or the next.
Recently, i had the fortune of freeing birds. We, humans, out of greed even took the sky away from them. A bird in a cage is no longer a bird…its just…dead. It has no way of expressing itself. It craves for freedom, but who cares. In a world where human life is not valued, what more a bird’s life. Depriving a being of freedom is extremely cruel. They do not belong to us, they have their own soul plan which is severely disrupted because of us. The problem with us humans is that we lack the awareness of ‘one-ness’. The entire existence is ONE.
When the birds were released, 2 of the them were kinda CONFUSED. They have forgotten how to fly, it has been a long time since they used their wings. Maybe they were very young when they were taken away from their mother. They never did learn how to use their wing and neither experienced motherly love. In the pet shop, i just wished i had enough money to free them all. I could feel them asking for help…but what to do?
I also thought, that if we keep buying and freeing, we maybe encouraging this activity. But eventually I decided that it doesn’t matter. We free as many as we can since they are already caught, the universe will take care of the rest. Gifting freedom is the greatest thing one can ever do.
I also realized that those beautiful and expensive birds, will never fly and taste the skies ever again. No human (very rare) has the heart to spend so much money to let them free. Its a sad scenario, but that is the truth.
This insights are on birds, but the same thing applies to all animals whose freedom are severely compromised. Most may prefer to die then to be caged their whole life without being able to express their true self.
A piece of advise, do try to free animals whenever possible in accordance to your budget. It is the greatest gift you can give. Imagine saying ‘ I return you unto yourself, be free ‘.
Bliss !!!
Tips:
1) Bargain if you are purchasing a heavy amount of animals.
2) Release them in a place where it will be reasonably safe for them ( forest etc. )
3) Provide some food supply near by, maybe nearby the same cage
- just in case they do not know where to go, they will hang around there for a while.

Where is this going ?
We are thinking that every week, someone ( every joe takes turn ) posts a questions ( creativity encouraged ) like this and moderates the quiz in his/her own way. Moderator is given full responsibility to conduct the session for the week.
Why do this?
Enhances creativity with creative questions.
We get to do research.
Get to learn more on different topics - diversify.
Interesting.
Share knowledge.
Does not take too much of time - easy to moderate.
There are 7 of us, we moderate only once in 7 weeks.
Keeps friends connected.
etc.
What are the rules?
1) MODERATOR for the week decides EVERYTHING.
2) If MODERATOR cannot do it this week, he can pass on and take up next week
( but not much of work really )
3) Maybe post question on Mon/Tuesday and wrap up the session by *EOW ( .5 )
* EOW - End of Week ( .5 = Friday )
Considerations:
1) MODERATOR will try not to make the question too difficult.
2) etc.

Didn’t really know about it until I received a Fwd mail from a friend. Fwd mails do spread interesting information every now and then. More on this effect here. Digging a little deeper, I was surprised to discover that this phenomenon has also occurred in Malaysia ( Langkawi and Kuching ) before. Ref: Bernama News

So you want to switch to Linux OR dual boot with Windows OR are searching for a suitable distro. Too many distributions, too much confusion. What to do?
Go to:
(1) http://tinyurl.com/9ezxa [ Zegenie Studios ]
(2) http://tinyurl.com/fp4zp [ polishlinux.org ]
and take the test. Results are out in a giffy, and you will know which distro you belong to. My results were ‘Fedora’ and ‘Mandriva’ respectively. Nevertheless, I love Ubuntu ( Came 2nd in both tests ) and it Rocks !
Have Fun !
